Wayne Liew Dot Com: 7 Thoughts Before Starting Out A Blog Network

  • dott-com · 2 years ago
I think blogger that had their own blogs network are motivated either by money or their passion on blogging. For the successful blogger, they already build the blogging platform and authority on the net before starting up a blog empire of their own . But for newbies, jumping to many blog just for monetizing factor can crash down your blogging network dream.

The best way is try to maintain 1-2 blog and give some time for that blog to grow up for 3-4 month. If you successful maintain that current blog and really had a passion on blogging than you a step closer to build own blog empire. A motivation for blogging start from your first blog.

I think money and passion are the key to having a blogging empire.....unless you are like me, the money comes second, blogging first........... ;)
    (shameless self promotion).

Anyway, great article for newbies....... ;0

I've got the number 1 solution to all of those problems:

    It's called "Outsourcing" ;)
  • Wayne Liew · 2 years ago
    @ dott-com
I am OK with the advertising.

Blogging for money of course is a bad thing and will have bad effects on a blogger. As we always say, if you don't have passion for the topic and you just blog for money, you won't get anywhere far with your blog. The same goes to blog networks.

I would like to guest blog on your blog. Can you provide the stats of traffic for your blog please?

    @ kljs
As dott-com puts it, these are the reasons why people launch a second blog and eventually have a blog empire.

    @ Carl
Yes, but for newbies, it is hard for them to pay for the outsource fees and some things like blog installation and preparation can't be outsourced unless you know the person really well. Also, it is hard to find good writers and those who are willing to work for a new blog.

    Hosting package:

I have one interesting story about it. I was looking for a company which would host my blog and they asked me how much data would it be transfered a month. At the time I didn't know this info so I checked my stats. I found out Novak's blog had around 240 GB a month :) The guy on the phone started to laugh. I didn't know what to think and then he said to me that this is the third of all their traffic. And then I just said to him, well I guess my blog is popular and searched for new provider.

My blog doesn't have it's own niche, it only follows my personal life, and that's why it sucks.
  • kljs · 2 years ago
don't say it sucks lar. It's your own blog mah..... be proud of it....
  • Wayne Liew · 2 years ago
    @ Marko Novak
Oh my God. That shows the power of your blog. I wonder why you go for them when you have good hosts like BlueHost and Lunarpages?

An interesting story. So now you are running your blog on a private server?

    @ yung .
Don't say something like that. Personal is a popular niche and many encounter success with it already. I am sure you know likes like XiaXue and KennySia right?

    @ kljs
Yes. Agreed. Everyone should be proud of your efforts. Moreover, your blog is not a bad one.

I wanna have a hugh blog empire too... then hire people to write for me. What say you?
  • Jalaj · 2 years ago
Bloggers who own more than 2 blogs might be doing that for creating their own link network... nobody does anything without motive...
  • Wayne Liew · 2 years ago
    @ Kitkat
I think it is a great idea but finding a good writer which can take a low pay is difficult nowadays.

Want to check out my writing service?

    @ Jalaj
Money and passion, maybe links but two blogs won't give the blogger that much links right?

For the niche problem, I suggest a wide field, before narrowing to some successful topics.
  • Wayne Liew · 2 years ago
I somehow agree with you. Starting out a blog in a narrow niche without thorough knowledge of the field might kill the blog eventually. :???:
